:: Embark on a day trip to Letea Forest from Sulina. Cruise through the Danube Delta, explore the forest, and see wild horses in their natural habitat. Enjoy a traditional lunch and interact with locals in Letea Village.
:: Meet your guide in Sulina and depart from the port towards Letea Village with a fast boat. Pass through the Danube Delta canals, enjoying the stunning landscapes and local wildlife such as birds, water lilies, and reeds.
:: Upon arrival, a local guide will pick you up with a 4×4 vehicle or a traditional cart to start the tour to Letea Forest. Discover the unique forest with its lianas, centuries-old oaks, sand dunes, and exotic vegetation. Learn about the area’s biodiversity and its ecological importance.
:: Next, see the famous wild horses in their natural habitat. Rest in a designated area or at the edge of the forest. Enjoy an optional traditional lunch prepared by locals (fresh fish, polenta, fish soup). Advance notice is required if you’d like this option.
:: After lunch, walk through Letea Village, a traditional community where you can see mud-brick houses with reed roofs, reflecting the simple life of the Danube Delta. Interact with locals and buy souvenirs such as acacia honey, reed crafts, or handmade items.
:: Return by boat to Sulina, relaxing and enjoying another chance to admire the Delta’s scenery. If time allows, make a short stop on smaller canals or at a small island to see more birds.
